• Hello,

    Interesting plugin and service concept.

    I’d like to try it on a WP 4.3.2 multisite network of about 50 sites.

    Should it be activated network wide or just on the main site?

    I did not see any instructions addressing multisite.

    We often have errors that happen only on certain subsites because each site uses different themes and different sets of plugins and most issues are minor plugin conflicts, but they still require updates to cure them.

    Looking forward to your guidance about how to properly use this on a multisite network.

    Thanks

    Hi SooBahkDo,

    Great question!

    WP multisite is treated as a single site by WP Error Fix that is why you just have to activate it for the whole network once and it’ll listen and capture errors in all your sites.

    Please make sure that you have the latest WP Error Fix 3.4.2.

    Thank you for your interest in our project.
    Best Regards,
    Vasyl

    Thanks for the clarification.

    I suggest adding this clarification to the installation and activation instructions.

    Perhaps mention that multisite installations do not require networkwide activation but only activation on the main site.

    I look forward to testing it out.

    Thanks!

    I just applied a few fixes and have some clarification questions:

    1) When a fix is identified at the WordPress level and is applied, I assume that an update to WordPress will overwrite the fix.

    Is that correct?

    2) Then, if the problem is still present after an update and the fixed file was overwritten WP Error Fix will identify it again.

    Is that correct?

    3) In the case of other plugins that may have errors and WP Error Fixes applied and then later when the plugins are updated if the developers correct the issue, then the plugin file will have no WP Fix modifications, but if errors persist or new errors appear, then WP Error Fix would identify them again.

    Is that correct?

    Hi SooBahkDo,

    Thank you for asking questions. Let me clarify your things.

    1) Yes. WordPress update may overwrite the fixes so you would have to apply the fix again for the new version;

    2) Yes. WP Error Fix will detect the error again and will report it to us and we will fix it;

    3) Yes. WP Error Fix will detect new errors for updated plugins. If errors are related to WP Error Fix or Advanced Access Manager plugins, the fixes are free of charge. At the same time we are starting to work with plugin developers to help them to improve there products by fixing errors reported from websites like yours.

    And finally, the easier way to not worry about updates is to have the yearly service for 10 cents a day. This way all errors will be applied to your website automatically without any needs to go and click Apply button.

    Regards,
    Vasyl
