  • Meghan,
please look into this. i’m experiencing the same thing. i am running the Charity Theme from Skat Design purchased through Envato. there are definitely a few “required plugins” that could be cause this error but i’m hoping you can shed some light. Charity originally came installed with Contact Form 7 but getting that to work with Google’s reCaptcha became a headache and i gave up. your plugin couldn’t be simpler and i’d really love to get it working…

    Hopeful,
    Seth

Hi I am experiencing the same problem…

    Hi There!

Last night, I made my own research on Google. It seems, if I understood, that we can’t have more than one Captcha per website because of the confusion it could create between two Captcha plugins. Makes sense in a way.

Today, I got together with my web programmer. He confirmed that was the case. So… we removed the Captcha I had on the back end of my website and placed it on my Contacts Form which is, I think, a better place.

    I hope this helps,

    Blessings, Louise 8)

I don’t have another contact plugin and have the same problem… It must be another plugin conflict. I don’t have jetpack either ;( (it was reported to cause the problem).

    hi,

another recaptcha showed me a message

Google Captcha version 2 will not work correctly, since the option “allow_url_fopen” is disabled….i enabled it and it works!

Same issue here. Just opened a ticket with my hosting provider to look at “allow_url_fopen” and if they can set it to on. Hopefully they will, and hopefully that fixes the issue…

Update to above post – hosting provider set “allow_url_fopen” to on, plugin works fine now.

    great! ??

    Thanks for this.

I have allow_url_open = On and still does not work ??
