• Hi,

I’m having issues with the header image i upload to my website on the left hand side, against the background colour of the header on the right hand side.

I have a logo on the left side of the header, with the background colour of the uploaded image being #FFB545. I then set the header background also to #FFB545 so that the whole header will match colour.

This, however, doesn’t seem to be the case on all computers! If I view my site from my laptop or work pc, the colours match up fine. However, if I view the website from my imac, the colours are slightly different; the colour of the image I uploaded appears to be slightly darker.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and if there is a fix?

    Many thanks

  • Perhaps it is a browser-specific issue. Try loading the site on a single machine but different browsers. Check in safari and chrome. If the problem exists in one of these browsers only then you might have to use some vendor-specific CSS to fix it.

Thanks for the input WP Gurus, much appreciated. I have tried the site on different browsers and different setups. On my work PC the colours match on chrome and explorer. On the laptop it is the same. I also tried an Ipad using chrome and safari and both fine on there.

So in conclusion, the only machine it doesn’t seem to match on is my imac! I just want to make sure that it doesn’t have the same problem on all imacs, and if not, I kinda want to know why this is affecting mine!

Any other ideas? I did calibrate the colours on my imc with a special tool as i was into photography a while back, don’t know if this would make any difference?

    Thanks
