trouble accessing site using external ip

  • Hey all,
    I have WordPress installed and have modified the urls in the database to work with my noip url so a can access the site from outside my network (which works fine). I can successfully access my site using billysneddon.ddns.net:8888/biere_ecossais from work. However, once i am home and try access the site whilst connected to the same network, i am unable to access it. I know its somthing to do with the external ip because i can successfully access the mamp document root by going here billysneddon.ddns.net:8888.
    can anyone help with this issue please.
