• Hello!
First of all, I’d like to say thanks for looking into my topic.
We encountered a huge problem regarding domain and we are panicking right now :'(

    (1) So, my friend wanted to make a website through WordPress.com,
    bought and mapped a domain (18$) ioyonsei.com

    (2) Then, she bought premium plan (79$), hoping that she could use plug-ins (failed) She messed around a bit, installing themes, pictures and posts!

    (3) I looked into it today, and figured out that Premium Plan was not
what she was looking for. So we ordered a refund on the premium plan, but kept
    the domain (ioyonsei.com)

    (4) watched ‘How to make a WordPress Website for Free 2016’
    from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nmZNfHZIEI
    then followed their instructions…

    (5) Went to Hostgator for Hosting, Chose ‘Already Own A Domain’
got into Cpanel then Quick-Installed WordPress 4.4.1 on it.

    (6) Wanted to log in to yourdomain.com/wp-admin (ioyonsei.com/wp-admin)
with our ID(admin) PW(secret :P), but it displays that ‘admin’is not valid username

Could anybody guide us into salvation?

    Thanks in Advance

  • Hello,

Do you have access to phpmyadmin through Hostgator? You should be able to check your database users table and check your admin username there. If you are comfortable making SQL changes you could update your password there too if you think you may have forgotten it.
