Link Preview Popup Needs One More Feature

When editing or composing a page or post or any other post type, links are treated with a popup that allows for editing the link or deleting it without moving back up to the top of the edit area. It is a motion saver from the user experience. But one more item in this popup would save even more mouse clicks: A check box for target=”_blank”. Right now one has to open the popup edit window to check the status of target=”_blank” either to activate it or not. Having this status instantly visible when floating over a link would be an enormous time saver, particularly when dealing with a post that has tons of links.
