    Hello,

We use WordPress for our web (www.ethosdata.com) and today (yesterday was fine) we are seeing there are connectivity issues. A part of being the admin navigation very slow, we see some errors:

I get this error in the WordPress dashboard when I just login:

“RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Couldn’t resolve host ‘www.ads-software.com'”

When I access to the Plugin section, appears this message:

“Installer cannot contact our updates server to get information about the available products and check for new versions. If you are seeing this message for the first time, you can ignore it, as it may be a temporary communication problem. If the problem persists and your WordPress admin is slowing down, you can disable automated version checks. Add the following line to your wp-config.php file:

    define(“OTGS_DISABLE_AUTO_UPDATES”, true);”

When I try to search for a plugin I get this error :

“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

When I try to update a plugin,I get this error :

“An error occurred while updating Disable Comments: Download failed. Couldn’t resolve host ‘downloads.www.ads-software.com”

Could you please check it? Does anyone have these issues? We cannot make any updates with this…

    Thanks,

    David.

  • Hi David,

If you try and communicate with any other sites does that work e.g. an API call to something? Sounds like there may be an issue with your hosting.

    Regards,

    Jacob

    Hello,

Seems it is resolved. Now we do not see any error and we can update the plugins.

We contacted our host but they didn′t reply so… I imagine it was something temporal.

    Thanks,

    David.
