Backupwordpress files TOO HUGE!

Hi, last few days (this seems to coincide with my updating to 3.4.3 Backupwordpress but maybe not), my backup files have become HUGE. They were under 100mg before and now they’re supposed 2GB. I say supposedly because when I try to download the big files, I get a “File can’t be found” link. Here are a couple of screenshots to show you what I mean:

I’ve checked my spam box so it’s not excessive # of spam mail that’s causing the sudden 20x jump in size. Can someone help me? This is really frustrating. Thanks!
