After creating a new post (this happened a few days ago, as well as once before aboue 6 months ago), the image I used spontaneously appeared on my homepage.

I don’t want it there, and I can’t get rid of it.

The way I dealt with it the previous time was to delete the image from my media library. I’d prefer to fix the problem really.

I’ve experimented with making the post stick and non-sticky. It doesn’t make a difference. I’ve tried deleting the image and uploading it under a new name. This still doesn’t fix the problem – it just reappears on the homepage!

I’d be grateful for any suggestions!

    Thanks!

I managed to fix this myself(!!!)

I went into the style.css file (of child theme)

On line 180 where it says .header-image

Here I changed the padding to say 0 0 0

And changed the dimentions of the imapge from (something like) 1084px (or some large number) to 0.

    And it magically disappeared.

    Excellent.

I hope it never comes back.
