I′ve got SMCF up and running on one of my sites. Unfortunatly it is a Swedish site and all emails sent via SMCF comes up with “funky” characters.

The test message “Testar igen d?r?” comes out as “Testar igen d?¥r?¥” and so forth.

    Any ideas on solving this?

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll take a look.

I see the same phenomia here. Actually I have one site in Swedish and one in Japanese. (Both sites have been installed as swedish and japanese localized versions. Further, I cannot make swedish character appear properly if written within a php-file. It does work however if I write the swedish characters in an html file and then include that file into the php file. Indeed funny and annoying appreciate any suggestions on how to go about

I’m working on getting a solution for the next release.

Great! I′ll be looking forward to it.

Well, I think I have this working now. Try out v1.1.1 and see if it works as you desire.

    still no solution.
I have the same problem with Bosnian language characters.

Are you having this problem in the subject and message, or just one of them?

As long as you are using version 1.2.1 and your server has the php mb_encode_mimeheader() function, it should be working.
