Changing Featured Image After Post Is Published

    Hello,

    Am I able to change the Featured image after a post has been published?

    Can this cause any kind of problem?

    I am quite sure there will be no problem.
    It’s never a bad idea to backup your site before any change if you are not sure of it.

    Hey Amapeu,

    Thank you for the reply.

    I didn’t think they would be an issue other than some people coming through via social media or other channels seeing a different Featured Image where the post has been shared.

    I’m thinking it would also be a good idea to purge the cache after I upload the new image as my site runs on WPengine with the CDN enabled.

    Any thoughts on this?

    For Facebook, you could use this link to see how the post will be displayed. You could, then, fetch the new data from there too.
