Preventing stretched images

Sorry but it is not possible without CSS custom changes.

In example for this specific page you should use:

.postid-50 #primary,
.postid-50 #comments,
.postid-50 .author-info {
    width: 664px;
}

Where .postid-50 is an unique CSS class different for every post – in post with ID 145 you will have class .postid-145.

So every time I post a new vertical photo I’d have to go in and add that code with the post ID?

Do I add this code to the content.php page, or a different page?

Yes, you have to add the code for every post with this kind of photo. You should do it in some 3rd party custom css plugin or in the child theme.

Hmmm…I wonder what I’m doing wrong. I installed the Simple Custom CSS plugin, then copied the code in, changing the post ID accordingly. But the vertical photos still stretch.

Please refresh your browser cache – for me both images are working fine in the 664px-width wrapper.
