How to enable the parent field in the posts after I change the parent-child ?

Hi,
This is really a nice plugin but mostly I am interested in one particular functionality. It is the feature of “Creating Post Type Relationships.” Types lets you create relationships between different post types. So what I created was simple, I made the posts (built in wordpress) as children of topics (custom post type from bppress).
But now when I try to create a new post from WP dashboard, I dont see the option to choose the parent as topic (earlier it was built in categories), what additional settings are required to see the parent selection widget in the WP dashboard.
