remove date?

Dare I ask the same question? Need only the year. Historical timelines don’t always come with a date

Same issue. We only want the year to show. How do we get rid of the month and day. We also are using this for a historical timeline.

This worked on my page – not sure if it will work for you all.
Go into edit plugins
Open “cool-timeline/includes/cool_timline_template.php”
At lines 233 and 260 of version 1.0.7 find
<div class="time">'.$posted_date.'</div>';
and change it to
<div class="time"></div>';

Example

It would be nice to have an option for each post to diasply only the year or the mont and the year or the exact date. this is important for historical timelines where you often don’t know the exact date.

this plugin does not get along with my theme. Did anyone find another ‘cool’ timeline?

I was trying to do the same, to remove the date from the timeline.

I tryed the same what noble17 says, but it′s working only for the half from the timeline posts.

And i found this…

Go to wp-content/plugins/cool-timeline/includes/cool_timline_template.php

Find line 217 and remove the line “$posted_date=get_the_date(__(‘M d’,’cool_timeline’));”

I have added Enable/Disable stories Date option in settings panel in current version.

Thanks for your timeline plugin, very nice. We saw that you recently added the enable/disable date option in your plugin, but for a website we’re building at the moment it would be very handy if we could also disable the year-entry (+ the circle it appears in).
Or (if not) if we could leave the year-entry blanc or (if not) if we could enter anything but (year)numbers…

I know this is a relatively old thread, but I just installed this plugin from the repository (so it should be the newest version). I’m looking for the Enable/Disable stories Date option and cannot find it (I am using the free version). Is this a pro feature?

The Timeline Year is a main feature of our stories we cannot leave it blank or disable it.
