    Hi @mherbivore,

First, thank you for this plugin wich is very useful.

For thanks and contribute, I complete to 100% the translation of the plugin in French on GlotPress. After validation with French GTE, I wait some hours for my translation pushed by WordPress. But none. In fact, the plugin appears in Truck version on GlotPress. So I download the .po and apply it to my website. On the last update of GigPress, my translation was crushed and I see on the changelog that Fran?ois Fuchs made translation too. It is very frustrating to realize than I do the job and an other person do the same job. It’s a waste of time. Isn’t it ?

After a long explanation, I ask you if you can use the GlotPress system to translate and create a stable version (in wordpress trac) to auto-push new translation when there are 100%. Maybe you don’t like GlotPress like many of us, but i’s very useful and contributive. We have a very good translation team in France and we are very active.

Also, can you include “:” in translation because in French (and, I think, other languages) we must put a space character before and after “:”. In fact, plugins developpers must put punctuation in translation and plural mode too. It’s a little bit complicate for plural but very appreciate for all ??
    Thanks a lot, again.

PS : Excuse my English, it’s not my native language.

  • I don’t totally get what you’re saying, as I’m not familiar with GlotPress. I simply include translations which GigPress users send to me. If you have a French translation which you feel is better or more complete, feel free to send it and I’ll include it in the next release – but I don’t have time to create some sort of integration with another translation service right now.

    Thanks for your response.
I asked some french developper how to fixe it. In fact, you have to fill in the Header of the readmet.txt file with a line Stable tag: 2.3.16 under the line Tested up to: 4.4.
Maybe after it appears in GlotPress a Stable version and a Trunck version. You can see an example for bbpress. Yours only have truck version.
After that, everyone can contribue to plugin translation and you don’t have to include .mo of any languages. WordPress do that for you.
