Fatal Error in posting and Cashing post with the plugin.

    Hi, I moved yesterday into a dedicated server.
    After this point WordPress has started to respond a Fatal Error using your plugin.

    When I post a new article, wordpress respond:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in /home/olsdsdwltrtr/public_html/magtrtrtrtazine/wp-content/plugins/related-posts-for-wp/classes/class-related-word-manager.php on line 212

    If I disable the plugin, WP return to work fine.
    Re-enabling, it show again the fatal error into the caching post page too:

    Woops! Something went wrong while linking.
    Response:

    <b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in <b>/home/olwlxzxzxledf/public_html/magazizxzxzne/wp-content/plugins/related-posts-for-wp/classes/class-related-word-manager.php</b> on line <b>212</b>

    Tell me, do you have a fix/tricks for this issue?
    I would to like to continue to use your plugin.

    Hey Giadina,

    Sorry to hear that. Looks like your server doesn’t have mb_detect_encoding() installed and for some reason our check to prevent this fatal error from happening isn’t working.

    Best thing to do at this moment would be to contact your host and ask if they can add PHP support for mb_detect_encoding(). This shouldn’t be hard to do for them.

    Again, sorry about the error. Hope you get your website up and running again soon!

    I requested to my host to install what you suggested.
    Let me see and reply to this after done.

    Hi Barry,
    My host have recompiled the php adding the module mbstring.
    So, I enabled again the plugin with a positive result.
    It’s back to work as a charm.
