I am so sorry – I didn’t think the question was going through…. I only meant to post this once!

    Hi there,

    Yes, don’t use RSSITEM:IMAGE… use RSSITEM:CONTENT_FULL instead.

That URL seems to be using cloudfront.net proxy (probably on the Mailchimp side) then trying to pull in i0.wp.com/domain/… which is JetPack’s Photon, try disabling Photon?

Let me know if that helps.

    Hi,
I can’t seem to get my featured image to pull in AT ALL. I have very very little knowledge about coding so am not sure how to fix this. I know it has to be done within WordPress, but where in wordpress do I edit the coding for it? In filezilla? I downloaded the plugin WP RSS Images , but I’m not sure how that’s supposed to help.

For context, this is what the mailchimp rss feed has now:

    *|RSSITEMS:|*
    *|RSSITEM:TITLE|*

    By *|RSSITEM:AUTHOR|* on *|RSSITEM:DATE|*

    *|RSSITEM:CONTENT_FULL|*
    Read in browser ?

    *|RSSITEM:TWITTER|* *|RSSITEM:LIKE|*

    *|END:RSSITEMS|*

    Hi LivingCharm,

The Mailchimp template seems to have the correct RSSITEM:CONTENTFULL already.

If you’ve installed and activated my Featured Images in RSS plugin, then it will be adding the image’s URL into the feed, and should display in the raw feed /feed/ so you could browse to it and verify the URLs are showing up.

One thing to note is that your posts must have a Featured Image set… many times this is not set (it’s on the right sidebar of the Edit Post page, under Publish/Update button, scroll down.) If it’s not set, my plugin doesn’t have any image to work with.

Some themes use the first image in the body and display it, this plugin doesn’t do that built in. We will be releasing an updated version with a premium option that can help with that.

    Hope this helps.
