• What?
Single image doesnt have the lightbox effect.

    How?
I have a page with 2 single images, and 1 gallery. The gallery have the lightbox effect on, but not with 2 single images.

    Where?
I have tested a few pages, and found that only single images with site builder with no lightbox, but those single images without it are working great.

    When?
I have no idea when it happened since, but it is happening.

    WHO?
I am not sure which plugin having the problem here, but will also post to SiteOrigin.

Theme: Child (Customizr V3.4.19) with nothing changed

    Plugin enabled: Responsive Lightbox (V1.6.7)
    Page Builder by SiteOrigin (V2.3.1)

It just doesn’t seem to have data-rel attribute.

If the images come from the post content then RL should handle that automatically. If not, than some adjustments on PageBuilder side is needed probably.

ok, so if you use “siteorigin image” to place an image, you can’t add the rel attribute…

so you have to use “siteorigin editor” and then add an image in the content with the “add media” button. Then in “rel attribute of link”, put “lightbox” after the element already existing. And don’t forget to link the image with the media file.

    One notice.

Since RL v 1.6.0 the correct link attribute is data-rel”lightbox” not rel=”lightbox”

it seems to always work with rel=”lightbox” ??

Because we made a lot of backward compatibility effort.

However it might no work properly with some of the scripts and premium extensions.

    Hello dFactory,

Thanks very much for your reply, and also thanks to @babouz44 for confirming the issue. I am happy to solve the problem by inserting with the attribute manually for temporary. Here is the case of mine with the solution above:

    1. On the page, insert a SiteOrigin Editor
    2. Add Media
    3. Select the image, and link to the “Media File”
    4. insert data-rel=”lightbox” into the anchor

Here is the result in codes:
    [caption id="attachment_1001" align="alignright" width="300"]<‘a’ href=”example.com/image.jpg” rel=”attachment wp-att-1001″><img class=”size-medium wp-image-1001″ src=”example.com/image-300×300.jpg” alt=”Example” width=”300″ height=”300″ /></’a’>”CAPTION HERE![/caption]

It got the lightbox back, but the CAPTION on the effect became the REF of the anchor, “attachment wp-att-1001″. I have also tried rel=”attachment wp-att-1001 lightbox”, and the CAPTION added with lightbox too.

PS. Two single images needed different attributes with “lightbox” for individual gallery. In my case, those single images got to have “lightbox-0” & “lightbox-1” for showing two single lightboxes.

I understood this is not a problem from your plugin, and have expected your reply as something like “NONE of our problem”. I am really appreciated of your work and the solution for right now.

Do you have a temporary solution for the caption?

    Million thanks!

This is fixed by Version 1.5.8 (Page Builder of SiteOrigin)

    Many thanks!

    Hello @dfactory,

After we manually insert the code ‘data-rel=lightbox’ or ‘rel=lightbox’, the lightbox came back with a problem. The caption generated by the “rel”. Do you know what caused the problem?

    Many thanks!

So it looks like the data-rel attribute is being stripped by the Page Builder. Is that what you’re saying?

    Thread Starter Micyeung723

    (@micyeung723)

The data-rel attribute first been stripped by the Page Builder, yes. Then we manually input the data-rel and it causes the lightbox a problem. The caption of the single image in lightbox effect followed by the value of the rel. Can you please check the single image lightbox with the Page Builder?

    New Case!

I gave up using Page Builder for some cases. I have posted a project for reference, and the single image started a lightbox, but the caption is displayed as the rel attribute:
    rel="attachment wp-att-1387"
This image does NOT have a caption. It will be fine after filling it back, but this would be an hint of the problem above?

Please come to take a look on my page.

    Thanks!
