I am about to backup the database using phpmyadmin. I just want to ask if there is any risk when i do this that anything can get lost? I am doing this for a friend who has a real estate page with a lot of entries. So i am a bit worried, but as i can see this is what everyone does so i guess no risk, but still wanted to ask before :).
    Thank you!

To my awareness, no. You can always import it locally on your machine in a XAMPP/WAMP environment to make sure.

And you can back it up using a WordPress plugin; I use BackUpWordPress: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/backupwordpress/

I want to import it locally with wamp, everything is installed and ready. But now i have to export the database. This is what i am worried about, if there is any risk with doing so. Or anything i should think about while doing the procedure?

Anyone please??!! I know this probably is no problem, but i just want someone to tell me so before i do the procedure.

This is exactly how I back up all my WP (and other) databases.

Select the database to backup from the left sidebar in phpMyAdmin, then click the Export tab, and click Go (use the default Quick method).

This will create a .sql file in your Downloads folder (or wherever your downloads go).

    Cheers!
