menu and pages and category

I would like to create my web site : olivierbaudrydesign.free.fr designed like another abstractmachine.net, it’s an idea, my knowledges in php , mysql are limited but i know html and css. I have dreamweaver and copy on my pc, my wordpress and add my css, and create files like Home.php, biography.php but how to realize a menu easily.
