Missing options in Gateway theme moving from WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com

    Hi. I built this site for a client in WordPress.com, using the Gateway theme: https://copiacjcs.wordpress.com

    For some reasons, the client asked me to migrate the entire site to a self-hosted website using www.ads-software.com. I downloaded the Gateway theme from RescueThemes. And tried to reproduce (copy) the entire site using www.ads-software.com

    I know and understand the two themes have differences.

    I need help with two things:
    1) I need that the logo of my client appears above the header image (in the wordpress.com theme I did it in Appearance > Site Title, Short Description and Logo). I don’t find the option for logo in the menu Appearance in the www.ads-software.com menu, just Title and description.

    2)In WordPress.com I had a Home page made with featured pages (I went to Appearance > featured content and I specified a tag). I don’t see this option in the www.ads-software.com Appearance menu. Is it only possible to make a Home page like that with posts (and not with pages)?

    Please, show me the way to do this 2 things in the .org version of Gateway.
    I appreciate any help very much.

    Veo que no te han constestado pero lo has solucionado. ?Serías tan amable de decirme cómo conseguiste meter el logo y título en el header?. Cuando meto el logo desaparece el titulo. No sé si es porque la versión que tengo es gratis. Pensaba hacer el upgrade, pero antes quería asegurarme de que es ese el problema.

    Jejeje Hola, Luisa. No hay problema.
    Mira, si no mal recuerdo yo utilice el plugin Jetpack para introducir el logo en el header. Pero en el sitio ese no hay titulo solo header. Pero sería cuestión de que probaras el Jetpack. No te puedo confirmar que eso hice porque no tengo acceso ya al sitio nuevo. ?? Espero que sirva.

    Ah? es verdad, al ver letras y simbolos pensé que eran titulo y logo.
    Miraré lo del Jetpack que me dices. De todos modos, no entiendo porqué en la plantilla aparecen ambos y luego no se puede.
    Creo que preguntaré al desarrollador, pero tengo pocas esperanzas de que conteste…
