Is it a Hack or a WordPress default

    The past few days I’ve been modifying the theme to my web site to include AdSense. The Home Page was the last thing to be modified.

    When index.php was uploaded, I went to the site to check it. Surprisingly, the site has reverted to the default WordPress theme–the one that displays when you first install it.

    Could this be a joke by a hacker just to say “I was here”? Or did something mess during the redesign that caused WordPress to drop into preservation mode and revert to the default theme?

    It is not a hack. Check your server log for possible causes.

    You can also rename your default theme and then rename the theme you are using default.
