    Dear whom it may concern,

Recently after the 4.4 update I do not receive any emails.

Apparently, the only way to fix this error is to change the “From” settings in your contact form to have the senders address to be your own email address or another email address from your web server.

I have created an email from the host with my domain name, yet this still does not work.

What could be causing the problem?

  • I’ve had this same problem for 3 weeks and have tried everything possible to try to fix it, but my form pages still don’t work – the form submission emails still don’t go through or get to me.

I’ve just spent the past 3-1/2 hours chatting with GoDaddy Tech Support and they were even logged into on my WordPress website to check my settings and form pages and also tried everything possible and could not get my form pages to work and couldn’t understand why, and said my only resolution is to contact the Contact Form 7 plugin author to ask him/her. Yet I posted my issue two days ago on here and have yet to receive a response to it.

The tech told me to tell the author:
    – that I tested php mail and that it does work on the server
    – the sending and receiving email addresses are both on my domain name
    – WordPress version and plugin are up to date
    – no fields are left open and the subject is not blank
    – when you hit submit that the wheel just spins
    – that I disabled all other plugins and set my theme to twentyfifteen and that did not help

I tried everything, nothing seems to work.

Not working for me also and talked to a friend who has a number of websites which it is not working. Does wordpress/contact form 7 people know there is a problem?

Seems like I have the same problem as you here…

I work on few websites and for two of them, everything works perfectly, and for the third, the contact form do not works…

I mean, the three websites are similar, I build them the same way, but just one of them… for an obscur reason, the contact form do not want to sent anything. They all use the them host…

I tried everything, I looked on internet… I don’t understand why just for one website it doesn’t work but for the others it works. On one website, I have exactly the same thing in “To” and “From”, and it works, and the other one, it doesn’t work. The website where it doesn’t work is the older one but everything is updated, it worked fine before, I don’t know since when it doesn’t work.

I hope we will have an answer to help us.

Having the same problem. Get a message that Message was sent successfully but it doesn’t ever make it to the email inbox. Was wondering if there is somewhere that the main email address is supposed to be set for the entire site. Have 2 forms and neither are sending to the owner’s address. I get the confirmation email at the sender’s address only.

I guess it’s not a problem from CF7 itself since it works fine for most of users, maybe a host configuration or I don’t know, it is just strange that for some website it’s “nope, i don’t like this website, nope”.

If you need help filling in the details leave a message:)

Marc2412, I’ll be thankful if you can explain me how did you get it working.

I’ve three forms in my website, each one has the right syntax, the email is sending by form, but never comes to mailbox.

Before the 4.4 version it worked perfectly, but now it doesn’t.

I already am using Mandrill to send emails. Maybe it’s a Mandrill issue?

nakathor, what version of WP are you using and what version of CF7 are you using?

I have the same issue I used WP EASY SMTP plugin it didn’t fix. I don’t know who gonna get the emails from the form. Need a help from author Please Fix this issue ASAP.

    CF7 version: 4.4
    Wordpress version: 4.4.2

Having the same issue here, CF7 displays the message was sent successfully, but I am receiving neither the submission or the confirmation to the sender.

Interested to see what we all have in common as I am also experiencing this issue on a GoDaddy installation as JTwordpress is. Is everyone else using GoDaddy?

Intersting finding: On my local server, I reverted manually to CF7 version 4.3.1, tried a submission, which worked, then updated through the plugins screen to latest, tried a submission, and it still worked. Tried the same thing on the GoDaddy server but neither version worked.

Ill be helping you all soon. Im at work at the moment.

@jtwordpress : I use WordPress 4.4.2 and CF7 version 4.4 on the three websites. I’ll look after Marc2412’s solution today (atleast if I understand like he said) and we will see.
