    Hello,

Thanks for switching over to our personalized plugin. I see that you’re using the “Compact” stylesheet design. Have you tried any of the other recipe card designs? There are several to choose from.

We’ll be adding in the ability to edit fonts, colors etc. over the next two weeks. In the meantime, I hope you can find a different design that better suits your site.

    Cheers,

Wow. I had a very complicated recipe almost finished. I was typing the final notes. The plugin suddenly went to the wordpress login screen. I clicked it (had no other option), and when I went back to my recipe, I had lost a couple of hours worth of work! Not off to a good start. And yes, I’ve tried the different designs. None suit me. The colors clash, and the fonts aren’t consistent with my site.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve had similar things happen. If you’re creating a complicated recipe it would be good to save/update the work part way through. This way most of what you’ve done is saved if something happens. Most recipes don’t take long to create and is not an issue if WP shuts down.

Your site colors are very unique. We won’t have anything to match it but will enable color editing in a new release in about two weeks. If you could find a design that will work until then that would be great.

    Thanks,

Are you getting any closer to having some ability to customize? The colors and font bother me. I also don’t like the way the text doesn’t align consistently between different sections (no padding on the instructions section). In Easy Recipes I could bold some text and create links within the recipe. I’ve not found a way to do that. Will that feature be added?

The editing features are close to being done. Less than a week.

You can add links to your recipe ingredients etc. by using this code”

    eg. – 1/2 cup sugar

    1/2 cup [sugar|https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar]

To bold text you can do this:

Eg – to bold the word sugar…

    1/2 cup *sugar*

If you want to create a subheading in ingredients or instructions just put an exclamation point in front of the words.
    Eg.

    !For The Topping:

I’m still really not happy with the way my recipes appear on the page. I’ve checked the “none” box on border, but the border remains. It calls attention to the text alignment issues that bug the crap out of me. When I add a sub heading as described above in !For The Topping, there is no space between the border and the text whatsoever. It doesn’t line up with anything else. I’m still not finding a way to change fonts and colors. Has that happened yet? It was supposed to be only a couple of weeks. I’m trying to be patient. Thanks!

There’s another plugin messing with our CSS. This is why you can’t remove the border. We can have a look at it if you can provide an admin sign in.

If you are adept at CSS or have a designer then you can edit fonts and spacing. We won’t have this as an editing option for some time. I actually don’t know of any other plugin that enables you to edit spacing?

We’ve added the ability to edit colors which is the first step and will add more editing tools as we go.

    Thanks,

When I used Easy Recipes (used by most food bloggers), I was able to edit in the CSS, but also, the Live Edit feature allowed me to customize every aspect of the display – font, colors, spacing, etc. Had I not been told that Google was punishing bloggers using Easy Recipes, I wouldn’t have changed. I’m not sure why you would set up your plugin to have any text butt up against a border and line up with none of the text above it. It looks horrible. As far as I know, my login is skyisland1 and my password is Tami1234! I may have changed it since I put it in Passpack, and I don’t have to enter it on my computers. Thank you for your help.
