    Hi there,

Recently I’ve become admin of a wordpress based website (www.pscentre.org). Occasionally, an older version of the page will load upon refreshing or just when just entering the site.

To recreate the error, enter the page (https://www.pscentre.org) and try refreshing until an older version will appear (usually loading a lot quicker than the current version). It will feature an article about Ebola and it is always this exact page it returns to. As soon as you click on anything else, the page returns to its normal “current” version.

I thought it was a cache problem so I’ve flushed both server-side and local cache with no results.

The error occurs across browsers and OS’s, but seems harder to trigger in Chrome on my Macbook Pro.

I’m not that experienced in WordPress troubleshooting, so I don’t know what to look for anymore and what could cause this tricky error. Any help is much appreciated! ??

EDIT: It appears impossible to trigger when I’m logged in as an admin on the site. This is so strange.

Has anyone else reported this happening? Or does it just happen to you?

I refreshed many times, didn’t see the old post.

Flushing caches would have been my suggestion. You’ve emptied browser caches right?

Do you use Google Webmaster tools? If not, set up a free account and check for any problems, and use their tool that shows you how Google sees that page.

Unrelated point but since you’re a charity, do you have a Google Ad Grant? If not, suggest you apply.

Hi Jason, thank you so much for the response.

I managed to fix the issue meanwhile – It was caused by a cache plugin that I have now deactivated and removed.

Thanks for the advice on Google Ad Grant, I will definitely check it out.

    Have a nice day!
