• In the process of updating to 2.3.2 through my godaddy admin account. (I’ve always used godaddy to install and upgrade wordpress.)

Somehow I thought it would a be a brainy idea to upgrade my passwords – and I think I changed my sql password and wordpress password (for the forums).

The upgrade failed so I restored. But now I cannot get into my admin in wordpress. Here’s my blog:

The site located at https://www.planningforever.com/blog indicates that you are not using the correct information in your coding to connect to your database for your WordPress application. We are not experiencing issues with our hosting or database servers that would cause the problem displayed on the site. I was able to perform a database connection test and the test was successful. Please note that we cannot troubleshoot your coding. Please make sure that you are using the correct host name and login information in your coding.

How do I fix this situation? Are passwords different from www.ads-software.com forums and the actual database? If there is somewhere I can manually change my password in the coding…

  • there is no connection between your password here, and the one used on your site. How could there be?

If you changed your MySQL password you need to edit your wp-config.php to reflect the new password.
