Can't access sitemap

    Hello

    I am using Yoast SEO 3.1. Under XML Sitemaps > General, when I click “You can find your XML Sitemap here”, I get a 403 Forbidden message that reads “You don’t have permission to access /sitemap_index.xml on this server.” Does anyone know why this would happen?

  • XML sitemaps are not physical files on the file system, this can cause issues if your server permissions are a bit too strict. I’m quite sure your web host can help you fix that.

    I just want to make sure search engines are able to access it for SEO. It looks like, from Google Search Console, it is not able to see the sitemap. Is this a hosting issue?
