Changing or updating woocommerce

    I am trying to update or change just the theme and look of my woocommerce shopping area. Please keep me in the loop on this question. What is the easiest and scare proof way to update the woocommerce only, without effecting the rest of the look of the website?
    I would like to hire someone, but I have major trust issues after some bad experiences.
