406 not acceptable when posting/updating content

    I’ve been getting a “406 not acceptable” error when posting new content. I don’t know what the core reason is, but I expect (in my case) it’s a character recognition issue.

    I took all the percent signs out of my post and it updated without an error. Exact same post with the % delivered an error. Removing them and typing out the word allowed it to post.

    This may or may not help someone, but it was mighty frustrating so I’m sharing my find.

    This may be mod_security related.

    Ask your host if they have any changes/upgrades made to mod_security on your server
