• I have recently installed wordpress on my website and I posted a few posts. I had also edited the page ‘About’. Yesterday, when I visited the blog, I was greeted by an error “Not Found : Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”
When I logged into the administrative area, I noticed that there were NO POSTS and NO PAGES.
It’s difficult for me to understand how those posts have been deleted and by whom! I spent time on this forum reading posts in order to see if someone had had the same problem, but I don’t find an answer to my problem. I am afraid that I’ve lost all my posts; I can start new posts, but the problem is that they might also be deleted unexpectedly.
Can anybody, please, tell me what might be the cause so that I can tackle that and avoid future surprises?
The only plugin I installed and activated was Feedburner. Do you think it can be associated with posts deletion?
    Hoping for an answer.

  • You didn’t happen to have been working on some database references? Did you check if the posts are still in the database and WP somehow doesn’t know where to look for them?
