Navigation Styling Error on First Screen of Multi-page Category

First, I think you should try a conflict test to see if something is interfering with the output and what it might be.

Try that and report back, including a screenshot of what you see. Use https://imageshack.us if you have to.

Turning off plugins and going to default theme did not fix issue. Attached is image of three possible states of bottom navigation.

Install WP-PageNavi and see if that fixes the integration so that it styles correctly.

Great! WP-PageNavi’s output is much more robust than our simple use of Next/Previous. Definitely the way to go here.
