• Seriously, I tried uninstalling it, but it keeps blanking pages and now it even locks me out of the wp-admin entirely with a false error message;

    W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /www/somedir/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

    I have full ssh-access on the server, so I removed all files related to this non-functional plugin already. Also that one file.

    Could someone at wordpress block plugins from installing stuff outside of the allowed locations, so uninstalling it actually works as it should?

    By the way, it did not show any actual extra caching results when testing with it the past month.. which was why I uninstalled.
    Looking forward to using a cache plugin that actually works with wp. But definitely not this one.

    Wow, this is really bad. I have alread had to use phpMyAdmin to delete several entries mentioning %w3t% and it is still not giving me proper administrative options. Can’t even edit posts without getting that stupid error line that is actually incorrect.

    W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /www/somedir/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

    And no, there are actually NO other plugins installed. Not one.
    WP is entirely up to date. All nginx config is already gone, nginx has been restarted.

    Can the creator of this piece of sh.. please help me out here?

    Considering reinstalling wordpress entirely, and hoping this POS is not somewhere inside my wp-content

    My advice: Do NOT try this plugin. It’s malware, it really is.

    Could the creator of this plugin at least write a clear manual on how to actually get rid of it?
