    Hi Neil,

    Can you please tell me:

    – Are you using the latest version (0.1.1) ?
    – When you go to your contact message page ( joypadgeeks.com/forums/users/nuzik/messages/username/ ) is it working fine? and when you hit send message which URL it goes to?

    yep version 0.1.1
    nope only brings up 404: not found

    Have you tried going to “Settings > Permalinks” and hitting the submit button below? this might flush the rewrite rules if they’re not and the new URLs might work.

    Definitely the rewrite rules need flushing because if you go to joypadgeeks.com/?bbp_user=nuzik&bbp_messages=1 it will show the messages I guess..

    Try that and let me know how it goes.

    Is there a universal URL for anyone to look at their messages where the username is generated so I can stick a link at the top of the page

    Great.

    Yes there are shortcodes for this, you can use [bbpm-messages-link] which will give the messages link for current user..

    You might also want to add [bbpm-unread-count] which shows the unread count, and there is a widget which can be added in widgets dashboard.
