I’m listing music and lyric files using WP-Filebase. WP-Filebase seems to stop the automatic conversion of mp3 links to players by MP3-jPlayer so I’m using the mp3t shortcode in the WP-Filebase template to add the single file players. This works fine except it’s putting the shortcode round non-audio files too, of course, but I had hoped MP3-jPlayer would have only converted files with mp3 and mp4 extensions to single file players, but it’s also trying to do so with non-audio files (e.g. pdfs) – is there a way of stopping this happening so the short code ignores non-audio files (as it should) ?

    Thanks

If you’re running the shortcode in a template file, you could just check the extension before deciding whether to run the shortcode.

I’ll think about adding something to filter out non-audio urls, though tbh I’m a little reluctant as this only applies when manually writing a url, in which case I presume the admin knows what they want to do!
