iThemes Security slows down Frontend

  • This issue has nothing to do with the iThemes Security plugin. If you run a page load test via https://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ you will see that the issue has to do with the size of the page. Your are loading 22.8 MB. There is 21.7MB of images on the page. This looks to be demo content for theme. Build out your site and re-test the speed.

    it was an other plugin which was slowing the site down.

    just for info:
    i tested it again. it’s the hackers.com blacklist feature.
    if i activate it – the site loads much slower. if i deactivate it, it’s much faster.
    i will use the security plugin without this feature.
