We have deactivated your plugin but have noticed that images are still being cropped – most images are being cropped at least between 7 – 9x. How do we prevent this from happening? Do we need to delete your plugin? And if we do delete the plugin, will that remove all of the cropped images from our site? We have over 8,000 images and with each one being cropped up to 9x, that is taking up a lot of space on our server and therefore slowing down our site significantly, causing people to leave. Please advise on the best way to resolve this.

    Thank you.

    Hi glamgals,
my plugin do not “activate” cropping of your images. It provides an easy way to adjust the crop-region for an image-size.

Therefore deactivating or even deleting of my plugin takes no effect on how many cropped imagesizes exists for each image. Also deactivating or deleting my plugin do not delete any of your images.

Each image can have multiple image-sizes. How many cropped image-sizes be generated per image, is defined by your theme (and in some cases by other plugins).

    Advices:
If you have bought an theme on, lets say themeforest, theres a high possiblity that the theme defined the image-sizes. In this case i recommend to leave all at it is (you will have more problems cutting out image-sizes than you want to have). In the end, diskspace is cheap.

If you have an individual developed theme for your site, speak with your developer to reduce the count of image-sizes (https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/functions/add_image_size/).
