• Hi there,

I’ve been trying for a few weeks now to make these pesky buttons resize correctly (I have looked at other forum posts where the problem was solved, but those solutions just didn’t work for me!)

Whenever viewed on a mobile device, they stagger and place themselves in random looking places across the screen. I want them either to stack vertically or horizontally so they look nice and neat.

Any help would be super appreciated, I am an absolute beginner at this, so please bare this in mind when suggesting solutions ??

    Have a great day,

    Hi Naomi.

I checked the front page. Responsive stuff is often quite complicated and takes some practice to get it right.

I see that your only have a mobile view for the smallest screen ( smaller than 480px) . When viewing that the buttons appear under each other. Probably is that the automatic setting though.

Experiment 1) Try to add under responsive view settings ( in the bottom of the button editor ) several mobile views (uncheck auto-responsive) and add for instance ‘small phones’, ‘medium-size phone’ and ‘ipad landscape’. Those three cover all different sizes for mobile. You can then set the size (width) of the buttons for these options. For instance to 25/30% and see how that looks ( if the font gets too large you can set it too ) .

Experiment 2) If you want to force the buttons to display under each other in a view you can use the container option. In the button editor check the ‘use container’ option and give some small margins to right and bottom. Then add the same options to the responsive part. Here you can try to put ‘container float’ to ‘left’. This should position the button under each other.

Since every site and theme is different this requires quite a lot of trial and error, but with these tools you should be able to get some decent results.

To check how it looks from your computer you can just resize your browser window. For instance in Chrome, if you hit the F12 button (developer mode) you’ll see the size of the window when resizing.

    Good luck!
