What a hell, after an era and a pile of hype regarding greatness of a plugin we’ve caught a message
“PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /home/z/lalala/’lalala’.ru/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/admin/class-advanced-ads-admin.php on line 231”
and got a site absolutely unavailable. Just a blank page upon request. Thanks a lot!
After renaming a folder (i.e. deactivating) with the plugin, the site came back to life, but… What now?
    Your advice? Move to trash?

    Hi ecoduma,

I am truly sorry for that issue. It was discovered and fixed a few hours ago already, see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/error-after-update-62?replies=15.

    Version 1.7.0.1 has the fix.

How did you end up with 1.7? Was it still available somewhere?

    Thomas

Same happened to our clients website. Exactly after updating the pro plugin. Only solution was to rename the folder. We could not even get into the wp-admin.

PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /home/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advanced-ads/admin/class-advanced-ads-admin.php on line 231

Please find an urgent solution. Our client need the plugin working.

    Hi MartaLi,

are you sure he updated Pro?

If he updated the basic plugin, did your client update to 1.7 or 1.7.0.1?

    1.7.0.1 is working.

    Thanks
    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,

Sorry, you are right, it is the basic one.

They updated to 1.7. I went into the admin and updated to V 1.7.0.1

    Thank you!

    Yes, thank you!

It seems v. 1.7.0.1 of the plugin works quite well.
For more confidence of the workability we first deleted previous version (via Admin panel, then out of the site’s directory) and reinstalled new one.
Hope that would be the end of our discontent.
