I visited a blog I’m building and get into the admin area easily. I noticed my left sidebar had Dashboard, Profile and Collapse Menu. Nothing else. I can’t see users, their access, plugins, etc. I don’t know if I’m an admin. No new posts.

I know I can reinstall the theme but would like to know what happened first.

before you do anything, take the time to confirm you are set up as administrator. do you have access to database connected to the website?

Phpmyadmin didn’t let me in. I. Changed passes and yeah, it broke it all. I asked my host last night to fix the config file and tell me from error logs why phpmyadmin won’t let me in. I just emailed them again. I was the only user and admin. Error logs stopped 2/23 so my host needs to fix that, too. .

You can see the config file if you can get into your file manager or via FTP.
Might be able to correct the DB password if you changed it.

I changed FTP program and was able to get in, reset the db, see I was admin and only user. The site seems okay now.
