    Hi Bojan,

Apparently CoursePress really doesn’t like my theme because nothing is showing up as it should (or in some cases, at all). Here’s an example of what I’m seeing.

I’m getting an Uncaught TypeError saying that “knob is not a function”. This would suggest a jQuery error somewhere, but I’ve tried disabling all my jQuery scripts, all the plugins besides CoursePress, and nothing seems to work. Everything works fine if I switch to a default theme, so the issue is definitely in my theme somewhere, I’m just not sure where!

    Thanks,
    Janine

Oh, if it helps, my theme is based on Underscores

    Hey there Janine,

This issue is most likely related to how the jQuery is being written causing an error and preventing other scripts from working properly. There isn’t much that we can do for this as this is a theme issue.

    Best regards,
    Bojan

Yikes. Is there anything you can point me too? This is a pretty major issue for me since I’ve now got an entire client site dependent on CoursePress and its core functionality is straight up not working. Underscores is open source and therefore doesn’t have a support forum I can consult about this, so I’m pretty much in full panic mode right now. :/

Also just a side note that Underscores is built by Automattic and is probably the best & most widely used boilerplate WP theme available, so the fact that CoursePress is apparently incompatible with it is pretty surprising.

    Hey again Janine,

I might have made a mistake, didn’t read the error properly, sorry!

Can you please try using the following plugin https://github.com/aterrien/jQuery-Knob

Let me know how that goes ??

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    That worked thanks.

Awesome! Glad I could help ??

    cheers,
    Bojan

I am having the same issue. I downloaded the recommended file and tried to upload it as a plugin, but wordpress says that it is not plugin and cannot install.

    Please assist.

    I am using Vanessa theme.

    Hey there neilscholtz,

This would require making some changes in your theme and having to enqueue scripts. There is actually an easier solution for this actually in form of a WordPress plugin that just adds different js libraries, you can find it here
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jam/.

Just makes sure that you activate jquery knob once you install this plugin.

    Hope this helps ??

    Cheers,
    Bojan
