    Dear developer,

I have installed this plug-in on my website. It appears to have a strange issue. The plug-in does send e-mail notifications to customers, but doesn’t send a notification e-mail to WordPress mail e-mailaddress when a reservation is being placed.

Could you please assist? I have run through your FAQ and have checked my SPAM folder multiple times.

    Thank you.

I have ROOT access to the cPanel server. It appears that the notification is not being send, as I can’t find any mails through the server-generated Mail Delivery Reports.

    Hi Nectar91,

The first thing I’d double-check is that you’ve checked the box to send admin notifications. You’ll see this checkbox under Bookings > Settings > Notifications.

If that’s set, and you’re sure the email address is correct, then the next step is to reach out to your web host. Give them the exact date, time and recipient of an email that you expected to be sent but wasn’t. They should be able to look at the logs and tell you if there are any errors in their system.

Many email servers have configuration limitations which will restrict email sending depending on various factors. It could be that you’re not seeing a delivery report because the server decided not to send it. But only your host can help you figure out if that’s the case.

I have checked ‘Delivery reports’ once again but I am unable to confirm the notification to the admin is being send. Yet, the e-mail to my client (in this case, myself ;p) shows up.

I have double checked if I have checked the box and entered my e-mail correctly, located in Bookings > Settings > Notifications.

What could be it? If you can solve this problem, I’ll donate $20.- dollars straightaway. If I am able to send you an email about this, we’ll discuss further and I can give you access to my website.

    Hi Nectar91,

You’ll really need to follow up with your web host. They’ll understand the email server configuration and be able to let you know if the emails are falling foul of any firewalls or other sending rules.

The plugin uses the regular wp_mail() function used by all of WordPress so it’s likely something in the sending parameters that’s preventing the mail from being sent.

I appreciate the offer to kick a little money my way, but note that $20 wouldn’t even cover a half an hour of a developer’s time. If you want to hire a professional, I’d recommend you take a look at codeable.io. But you should be prepared to pay considerably more.
