shipped order status and courier update

  • Hi,

    I have 2 questions.
    1. Can we have an order status “shipped”?

    I think this is required incase a product is shipped a notification email can be triggered with shipped status with tracking details..

    2.As we have the ability to enter different taxes based on unlimited tax class.Can we do the same thing with courier?
    (This is for manual courier tracking method)
    A tab where we can add individual couriers with it’s default tracking link.Finally the tracking number can be added with it in shipped status email?

    “Shipped” is our completed status.
    “Paid” is our processing status.

    It’s just different wording.

    There is a shipment tracking extension which might be what you need.

    Shipped means completed.

    Suppose,if the product is shipped and due to mistakes of courier company it got damaged then how can it be marked completed.

    I think completed means after shipment when it is confirmed from the courier that the product has been delivered then it should be completed.

    2.Ok,are you speaking to use any plugin for the courier query?

    Then that would be managed externally – how would you know when its delivered in order to mark it complete after shipping? Seems like an unnecessary step.
