    Hello,

im using YoastSEO for sitemaps and bing gets me an error saying :

Download of the sitemap or feed failed
We encountered an issue when we tried to download this sitemap. Please check the sitemap for errors and resubmit the sitemap.

Google says it indexed 200 of 1800 URLs but then i got an error report

General HTTP error: 404 not found

How can i fix this? i think my sitemap looks ok

this is the link of the sitemap i gave to google and bing to crawl

    https://www.potrosnja.com/sitemap_index.xml

I hope somebody can help me.
    Thank you!!

  • Unfortunately, I have exactly the same problem as Chakson, any suggestions to fix this issue?

It’s happening to everyone I think… Since the new update. I think it messed it up massively. Hopefully its fixed soon I’m looking for another plugin now, Anyone know how to backdate to previous version of the plugin?

To fix the problem try disabling the site map feature and reactivating it then click to see if it is there. Next time google crawls the index it should be fixed I hope.

After some time bing and google indexed some pages, but with random 404 and 500 errors on some parts

I disabled Yoast sitemap option and installed this plugin:

There are no errors in (Google/Bing) webmaster tools any more.

    Hi Chakson

thanks to rise this issue on here. We also face this issue on bing. But I don’t want to use another plugin for sitemap.

I think Yoast should resolve this issue as soon as possible.
