Hi Jason, thanks for the best “Postman” in the World(Press)!

I’m using Postman on one site without any issue and trying to use it on another. On the second site, I’m also using the plugin “Email Users”. Both the plugins are doing their job, it seems, except that “Email Users” is throwing “Warning: wp_mail() appears to be overloaded.” on its setting page. The warning disappears as soon as I disable “Postman”.

Plugin “Email Users” is using WordPress’ wp_mail() API for sending email and the author of the plugin has stated at one place that one can use any third party plugin which uses SMTP. And “Postman” also is compatible with “…and every other plugin that uses the WordPress API wp_mail to send mail!”

Though, as I stated above, both the plugins are doing their job, it feels, being a non-coder, that one should not have such issues. What can be the reason and how can it be corrected please?

PS: Waiting eagerly for V2 (with reference to your plan stated in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/does-this-work-for-a-multisite?replies=56) as my second site is multisite and I need the capability to configure the “Postman” network-wide once and for all! Any hint on timeline?

    Regards!

Hi again! I’d asked same question on support forum of “Email Users” and its author has replied as follows:

“The warning you are seeing is just that – a warning letting you know that wp_mail(), which Email Users is dependent on, is different than what ships with WordPress. If it is working as you expect, you can ignore it.

I should look into adding the ability to dismiss the warning so you don’t see it all the time.”

I think it makes sense – if YOU don’t think otherwise. ??

    Regards!
