I’ve got a question about something I’ve been trying to achieve but haven’t had any luck.

I run a website that does online restaurant ordering and delivery with multiple restaurants. Lately, I’ve been running into an issue with customers putting items from different restaurants into the shopping cart and I would like oh so much to stop this.

Is it possible to prevent this? Maybe by setting up each restaurant as a Product Category and somehow setting it up so the customer can only add items to the shopping cart from one Category per transaction?

If it’ll help, my website is https://www.considerdelivery.com

    Thanks!

This would be possible with customisation (error message thrown if cart contains product from another cat) but I’ve not seen a pre-made plugin for this niche feature.

Yes, I hired someone to code it for me.

Hi, I would be interested in contacting the same developer you used.

I’m not sure if there are rules about giving out emails or usernames or anything like that, but I contact him primarily through Skype. If you use skype I can give you his username, otherwise I’ll need to get his email from him.

No Skype, but no worries. It’s probably best not to share contact info within this forum. Thanks anyway.
