Put in widget?

hmm…not easily.
The information about a location is associated with a post.

To be in the footer that same information would be associated with the entire site.

It’s logically different than the current approach. I think I might like to create that actually. I’ll let you know when I do.

I’d really appreciate your letting me know if you do create that ability. While you’re in the code… maybe you could say “open now” on the current day, something like:

Mon 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Tue 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Wed 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Open Now
Thu 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Fri 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sat Closed
Sun Closed

If not, on its own in a widget would still make me one happy chick.

Wait…let me verify I understood what you were asking.
The site you’re talking about is for one business…so you want the widget (presumably displayed on every page) to show the hours and if that biz is currently open correct?

If so…I slapped together a proof of concept but I still have some work to do before submitting it to the repository. If you want to email me at plugins AT binarygary.com I can send over a zip of what I have so far.
