Site email is hosted by another host

Hi,
I am trying to use the Contact Form 7 plug-in on a site I am building for a client. I was told this plugin works best. The problem is, the wordpress website is hosted on hostmonster.com, but my client insists that they want to keep their email server at a different host. When I use the contact form to send to my own test email account, it works perfectly, however when I try to make it send the email to my client’s account, it gets confused and says there is no such email account associated with this website because the email server is not on hostmonster.com. Can you help? Thanks in advance.
