    Refresh connection with Google+”

I did it several times but it still didn’t work when I published it.

Could you try to reset your Publicize connection via this interface?
    https://wordpress.com/sharing

Let me know if it helps.

Also, the post wasn’t sent to email subscribers.

I checked our logs, and the post indeed wasn’t sent to your subscribers, although your site is properly connected to WordPress.com right now.

Can you think of anything that was different about that post, or the way you created and published it?
If not, did you recently enable or update plugins on your site?

No recent changes and I published it the same way I always do. Do you think somehow it might be related to the publicize issue? Let me know if you have any other thoughts and I will also see what happens when I publish a new post.

It could have been a temporary connection issue between your site and WordPress.com; that would have affected both Publicize and Subscriptions.

However, I can’t see anything wrong with the connection now, so I can’t be of much help. I’d recommend resetting your Publicize connection on WordPress.com, as I suggested earlier, and try publishing a new post as you mentioned.

Let me know how it goes!

Just checking back in on this: looks like the email subscribers are getting new posts but Google plus publicize is now just sharing my posts privately to just myself…how do I fix so that it shows public? Tried reconnecting several times but its not fixing it.

    Thanks!

So the past couple of weeks have been normal, by I’m noticing that Publicize is giving me the same error again today:”Before you hit Publish, please refresh the following connection(s) to make sure we can Publicize your post: Refresh connection with Google+”

Just wondering if you’re getting other reports regarding it today? I’ve tried reconnecting several times, but the error message remains.

I noticed the connection error appears to have again resulted in an subscriber email not being sent out. This is the latest post.

Also, my stats today were very lower than usual. Wonder if it might all be connected?

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble! I had a look at your site, and Jetpack appears to be properly connected at the moment. I also see that you reconnected Google+ a few days ago. Are you still having trouble with your Google+ connection? And where did you see a drop in your stats?

Just let me know about the above, and we can go from there. Thanks!

For now the Google connection is working. It just seems like my stats have been about a 100 visits shy the past week, so I wondered if it might be connected to the jetpack connection issue? Perhaps its just a temporary dip in traffic…not sure?

If your site was having connection problems, then your stats would be affected. Since we record and store your statistical data on our servers, if your connection is not working, we have no way to reach your site to check for stats.

    I hope that clarifies things!

OK thanks letting me know! Is there anyway to check and see if I’ve had repeated connectivity issues over the past week? Last time I noticed it was a week ago but just wondering if it might be recurring and could still be affecting stats.

    Thanks!

We don’t track the constant status of your site’s connection – only when a full disconnect and reconnect status occurs. Fluctuations in stats is a normal thing as readers gain/lose interest, so unless you see a dramatic drop, it’s most likely that normal cycle.

    I hope that clarifies things!

I noticed I’ve been having Google publicize connectivity issues again today. Have you all seen an uptick with it on your end?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Publicize was broken when we released Jetpack 4.1, but we fixed the issue in Jetpack 4.1.1. If you still experience issues when using 4.1.1, can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!
