Error – "Couldn't send message. Check your settings!"

  • My email is verified and amazon ses is configured correctly. I can confirm this because I use the WP SES plugin for all my other WordPress administrative emails.

    But I get the following error when I test email in Settings > Delivery

    I get below error in web api

    Couldn’t send message. Check your settings!
    Email address is not verified.

    I get below error in smtp api

    Couldn’t send message. Check your settings!
    Class SMTP Error: data not accepted. doesn’t exists
    Check your console for more info.

    Please help resolve this issue.

    I have identified the issue but not the fix. The issue is the plugin only picks US East North Virginia. Mine is US West Oregon.

    I have requested my limits to be lifted in US East but not sure if Amazon will give it to me.
