Antivirus plugin is sending virus alert email, but gives no information on where. Also, pressing manual scan button doesn’t seem to do anything. Email content:

The daily antivirus scan of your blog suggests alarm.

Also, I am getting lots of notifications of returned email from my domain, about 800/hr, all spam. Unable so far to determine if spoofed or actually being sent from my website.

How can I track down the virus?

    thanks.

The manual scan should scan the current theme templates. If this does not work maybe the plugin is already corrupted.

You should read this codex page and follow the advices:

Installing another exploit scanner which is scanning the whole website is recommended. Antivirus is just a pre-warning-system. Further investigation is always necessary.

    All the best,
    Torsten
